| The Scientific Program of XXX FIMS WORLD CONGRESS OF SPORTS MEDICINE “Sports Medicine for a Better World”, is aimed at all the diverse professionals who work in all the aspects of Sport Medicine and consists of the following kinds of sessions: CONFERENCES. Distinguished specialists invited by the Organising Committee will impart the Congress lectures. OFFICIAL LECTURES. These are the Congress official scientific sessions in which three lecturers present the topic main and newer aspects of Biomedical Science related to Sport. The Official Lectures are coordinated by a Moderator and a Lecture President. All Lectures members are designated by the Congress Scientific Committee. The Official Lectures last two hours, including the lecturers’ presentations and the discussion. SYMPOSIUMS AND ROUND TABLES. The aim of these sessions is to offer a detailed presentation about a concrete theme in the biomedical areas considered of interest, by specialists with wide experience in the subject. WORKSHOPS. In these intensive formative sessions a reduced group of participants will have the opportunity of improving techniques and skills in the cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment and to perform, in a relaxed atmosphere, a beneficial exchange of experiences with the coordinators and instructors of the session. COURSES. The aim of the courses is to offer a deep updating for aspects with a great clinical interest, including the most recent investigations results. There will be half-day courses for “cardiovascular” specialists as for primary attention doctors. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS. Oral communications. Presentation sessions of scientific communications, by 8 minutes long oral presentation, gathered, with discussion after each session. POSTERS. The Congress has a place for the scientific communications presentation by poster form. Part of the posters is selected for the Moderate Poster sessions, as a 5 minute long oral presentation of each work in front of each poster, coordinated by a moderator. |
